So...I decided to make some jam, my grandma VW has a really yummy recipe and I tried it out. I was a little worried that my jars wouldn't seal, but they did!

Doesn't that just make you want to hop in the car and come see me so you can have some?! Feel free!!!

Our latest adventure!!! We are the proud parents of 10 little baby chicks. They arrived this morning at 5:30am and were born yesterday. We don't know if they are hens or roosters and won't know for another 4-6 weeks.

We are only going to keep about 3-4 hens once we discover what they are and will give the rest to our friends who also just got 10 chicks. We are raising them for the eggs. We've been working on the coop and will show pictures when we get it going.

This is the "brooder" that is set up in our garage. we have to keep it about 98 degrees the first week and each week we can take it down about 5 degrees until finally they can go outside into their pen. The are a little skiddish, still getting used to things but they are super cute and friendly. I fed them out of my hand this morning. We want to be really involved so that when they are older they will be very people friendly.

Every time I see your chicks I just have to let out a little giggle because you two crack me up with all your extra curricular activities!
Can anyone say "Old MacDonald?" You guys are too much fun! By the way, it looks like you have one-too-many chicks, so please send one my way (the one you call "Emma.")
Thank you!
