So, maybe you've noticed that I've been a busy bee...I updated my mom's, my sisters, mine and even created a whole new blog. All of this was done today!!! Wow, now to get to the laundry and dishes!
We sold our little black boy bunny...he wasn't pedigreed and we are going to only breed pedigreed rabbits. So we sold him and bought a beautiful white Holland Lop, which is actually the father of "Elphaba", our little black female. So, we will be breeding them today or tomorrow actually and have a litter born at the end of September and then they will be ready to adopt by Thanksgiving. We already have 4 people on a waiting list for these little bunnies! Our Chicken run is nearly finished, we have to dig a hole for one more post and then put the "screen" door on and put the chicken wire over the top so the Hawks will stay away. We are housing the bunnies in the metal shed which reached 95 degrees this morning by about 11 so we are going to Santa Fe this evening to pick up a swamp cooler because we don't want cooked bunnies!
The garden is doing incredibly well. We have about 8 squash/zucchini's on the vines and a bunch of very big, green tomatoes. Not sure why they are green, but they will be tasty nevertheless! Tonight I'm grilling chicken and veggies from the garden! Mmmmm!!!
Lots going on, we have 3 people coming tomorrow to pick up rocks from our backyard. Hopefully they will take most of them so that we can get on with the process of planting grass and tilling for our strawberry patch! Don't forget my clothesline!
More later with pictures!
