So...it isn't an uncommon thing for us to stay in our PJ's until after noon...especially since I have been "with child" as of late...Today, we went out and raked up the "chickapoop" as Em says, and made their yard nice and clean, we pulled some weeds and Todd did a great job raking and cleaning up the yard in various places! It's really looking nice back there. This picture of Em is her saying "Dirty Face" as I took the picture. She *loves* to be in the backyard. She hand feeds the goats, throws the grain in for the turkeys and chickens and talks ever so cute to the baby bunnies that she just isn't fast enough to catch to hold. She hates it when it's time to come inside.
Here are some of our plants...the peas are really doing great and we've picked a few off and they are delish! The tomatoes have green little tomatoes growing and hopefully will turn red soon! We are getting a lot of broccolli and the beans are starting to do well too!Todd's going to put a fire pit in next week, into the ground and make a "practice" campground area for Em to get used to sleeping in a tent. It's going to be right outside our bedroom window so I told him I'd come to the window and say goodnight when it was bedtime...he didn't think that was funny, I guess the idea is for us all to camp outside?? Not this pregnant girl...my back has been hurting so bad this time around, that we are headed to Santa Fe tomorrow to pick up our new Serta "Eurotop" Mattress!!! Bring on the naps!!!
And, as a side note, I had my pre-natal blood panel done this past week and yesterday the nurse called to tell me that everything was normal except my thyroid which was pretty low and I need to get on a medication to stabalize it for the rest of my pregnancy. This 100% explains the complete exhaustion I've felt this pregnancy. I worked full-time while I was pregnant with Emma but I can't even imagine having to get up and get dressed every morning this round. I am looking forward to getting on this medication to level things out. The Dr. said that most of the time things like this go away after pregnancy so they'll test me again in January. Who knows...this is something that my dad has probably passed on to me. But like I said dad, I'll take this over the kidney stones anyday!!!
