Twins!!!

So, last night we heard Oreo crying and I just kept thinking "This is it!" and sure enough, this morning we awoke to two baby boys! (Of course she would have 2 boys, the little stubborn goat!)
This one in Todd's lap is Hershey and we were so worried that Oreo was going to reject him. She kept nudging him away and didn't want anything to do with him and he hadn't been cleaned off and we weren't sure he'd even nursed yet. Nutmeg was trying to clean him but couldn't nurse him because she hasn't had her babies yet.
Our heart was breaking for little Hershey. His little brother York looked like Oreo had taken to him and he was eating well. They are both so precious and tiny!
Here is Todd trying to get Hershey to latch on in hopes that Oreo will attach to him...it didn't work...
Again, trying his best to make them bond... finally we went to Santa Fe and came home to find that (fingers crossed) all is well. Hershey and York were together and Hershey had been cleaned and looked like he had more energy which means he must have nursed (from someone, maybe Nutmeg because her udders were dripping...probably her babies will be here by tomorrow) but whoever he nursed from, we don't mind, as long as he's getting fed because we couldn't manage bottle feeding a male goat. We might have worked it out if it was a female because we could have kept her for milking later, but a male goat doesn't serve a family well like a female does! So, needless to say, we are grateful he's doing well without our intervention!
