On Monday morning Emma wasn't breathing very well, so we took her to the Dr's office where she was immediatly admitted to the ICU at the hospital in Los Alamos. She was diagnosed with Croup. After pushing them and pushing them they finally tested her for RSV and it was also positive. Our little baby had both Croup and RSV!

Emma had to be in an infant oxygen tent for three days and we had to get inside of it in order to hold her. She hated being in there but was so patient through this whole process.

Even while the Dr.s were checking her heart and breathing we managed to get a couple of smiles from this beautiful girl! This is such a sweet girl with a tender personality.

I got to stay at the hospital with her, they put a bed next to her infant crib so I could be there at all times with her. Todd was the gopher man who ran and got whatever we needed and took care of the house and dogs!

This picture just breaks my heart! She has been so tired and so sick the past few days! So, here we are, on Wednesday and we are home, but Emma is on oxygen and we are having to give her breathing treatments every 3 hours. It is no fun seeing your baby sick. We are on "bed rest" and confined to our house for the next 3 weeks...Merry Christmas to all and know that gifts will be late this year due to the events of this past week!

Nice Pictures TODDLER
Holy Cow Tiffany! This is the saddest story I've ever heard. I can't imagine how you are surviving. Jack has the croup right now but he's 14 months so it's not really a big deal. I can't imagine a 5 month old being so sick. I hope you guys don't go absolutely stir crazy in the next few weeks. I hope to see alot more blogging!
You are doing great. Emma is looking better. Just hang in there. It well get better I know I've been there with the croup for almost 4 years now. Love you guys
I think one thing to point out is that the evedince of why Emma is so sick is right here in front of us all...look at the post right before this one! Her little body just couldn't handle the effects of pepsi!! :) Hang in there Chip! You are such a great mom and I know that this will just make you that much better!! Tell Todd he's one of the best photographers I have ever seen! Merry Christmas guys! I love you!
