Saturday night Miss Em had a late afternoon nap...which resulted in a late bedtime. But, after trying 3 times to put her to bed we felt successful and found ourselves in La-La Land. However, when I woke up at 2:30 am to the sound of her money dropping on our laminate flooring I knew that she was not asleep. Upon getting up I discovered that some sort of tornado had blown through her room and that she had dismantled nearly everything in there trying to entertain herself (quietly, I might add) while we slept peacefully down the hall. I told her firmly to go to bed, to which she begged me to lay by her and I declined. We had every intention of doing 9am church in shifts so that we could just let the beast sleep but she woke up at 7:30am ready for church...After church however, we all 3 took a 4 hour much needed nap!!! This has been going on for the past week really. She will wake up in the middle of the night and need us to lay by her to get her back to sleep. Todd is such a trooper and has been so willing to get up and do that. I think he feels sorry for me in my wrist braces with my numb arms and knows how little I'm already sleeping. What a guy!

My favorite book on sleeping for babies and children is Healthy Sleep Habits Happy Child. He gives awesome tips for every sleep problem children have from three months through thirty six. It is my life saver and I continue to refer to it throughout Craig's nap transition phases and any other sleep trouble he has.
I meant 36 months, not 36 years old. :)
This picture is truely worth a thousand words!!! I'm still laughing!!!
How can you be upset with a face like that? Come on Mom!
