Thrilled!

I am so excited about so many of the good things that are happening in my life right now. This past week, Thursday, I participated in an incredible event...a ribbon cutting ceremony...for a brand new organization in Northern New Mexico. It's called: New Mexico Women in Business and it's basically a chamber of commerce for women. The thrilling part is that I started it! I saw that there was a need for small & larger business owners~mainly women~ to come together and network and help each other out and that many women lacked the resources they needed to make things happen. I just got to work and it has totally taken off. Next week I am presenting at a women's luncheon. I will be talking primarily about my organization and the benefits to joining, etc, but it will be yet another opportunity to get my name out there. I am also looking into joining Kiwanis, which many people will laugh at because I am so young, but Key Club was a HUGE part of my life in High School and it is a great program to be a part of. I feel energized, I feel full and successful as I am interacting with these amazing women and I feel like I'm a better mom because I have been taking time-out for me and doing something that is making me grow. I love the challenge of it all and I love being able to motivate and teach others. This is the group so far from left to right...VaLynn Purvis with Party to Go!, Tonya Collins with Mary Kay, Suzie Boulden with Suzies Grooming, Ruby Alexander with Ruby K's Bagels, Aimee Blanchard with Silpada Jewelry, me, Kathy Steck with Farmers Insurance, Denise Greene with Arbonne, Diana McPherson with The Body Shop at Home & Tica Barr with H&R Block. The group is growing everyday and it is so much fun to watch things happen and to see the county get so excited about something that came so easy and natural for me! I have lots of goals for NMWIB in 2009 and can't wait to get the ball rolling!
