Potty Training Update

So...I am a failure. Emma can totally tell me when she is ready to poop and after the deed is done but she REFUSES to do it on the potty. This morning when we got her out of her bed and changed her diaper to put her undies on, she had peed more than I thought was possible in one night and she had pooped. Poor girl, she was just terrified to sit go on the potty. So...we tried again today for a little bit and she sat, but didn't go. She was much less "stressed out" when we put the diaper back on, but then immedietly told me that she was pooping. What a girl. Talk about being totally in control!!!
We did graduate her to a booster seat tonight so that was a big step! Goodbye high chair! She loved being able to see everything going on at the dinner table tonight.
Baby steps here with things...I don't want to rush her but I want her to grow at her pace!

Let her gradually figure it out, I don't think that you failed. Just don't rush it, as I said before she is in total control here. I would also recommend that if she poops in her underwear not to leave her in the bathroom by herself. My little Poopcasso did a great painting on the wall.

How old is Emma? I tried pretty early with Kyle and nothing worked...until he decided he was ready. Then, with my other my three I didn't do a thing but wait. They basically potty trained themselves! It usually happened right around three for all of them. But, they are boys and I have heard boys potty train slower than girls! Good Luck! Glad I don't ever have to do that again!

Should we really "air our dirty laundry" with the world. Poor Emma will have to look back on these posts about her bowel movements and live the embarassment all over again.
