I apologize for my negligence in maintaining my blog and keeping you informed of my life. This has been a crazy time for me and my little family and blogging has definitly taken a back seat to all of it. We are sticking around for the holidays, Todd has to work and it will be fun to celebrate Christmas in our own house this year with no oxygen tanks or cords running around. We are super excited and Emma absolutely loves the tree! She really just wants to climb on top of the presents to get closer to the "balls" on the tree that we have higher up so she can't reach them.
As per our Christmas tradition, we made Candy Trains. Spent $50 on candy that Todd could have eaten in the course of about 3 days had I not hid the remaining candy! We each made a different themed village. Todd made the PTLA shoot house and training range. The gummy bears were the members of the SRT, and mine was just Candy Land.
Todd's idea was as much frosting and candy as possible because he knew I would hide the left overs so he was planning ahead for the potential famine!
Simple and yummy. Not too much frosting and not too much candy!
Emma of course was asking for "more" the entire activity. We let her have some m&m's and some gummy bears and gave her a sucker but she didn't want to waste her time with a sucker when she could get more instant gratification from other types of candy!
Her eyes were WIDE with greed! :) She had fun and we probably let her have too much but I can honestly say that after this night of candy trains Emma's sugar intake has been reduced dramatically. She still wants it and cries for it, but this little missy isn't the boss and our new year's resolution is NO SUGAR! (That's actually one of mine so I've made it Emma's too.) Todd I think would go into some kind of shock if he couldn't have sugar. Poor guy...

That looks like so much fun! I love the idea of candy trains! Brooke was the same way when we made our gingerbread house, it is amazing how much candy such a little person can down!
As a friend, fan, and blog stalker I would like to say thanks for the update... it is about time! : ) That looks like so much fun! We will have to give that activity a try. I have all the makings for a gingerbread house, but still have not gotten around to making one.
I hope you guys have a merry christmas!
It's nice to see that the family traditions are living on. Thanks for that.
How fun! Your little girl is so cute!
