Still Alive!!!

I realize it has been like 3 weeks since I updated my blog...but I have been BUSY!!!
So, we found out we are having a BOY, which to many will be old news since you've already heard from Facebook or have talked to me! We are naming him Maxwell Nathaniel, after Todd's brother. He is the kind of baby that is content to just enjoy the ride and doesn't do a whole lot of moving around which has worried me on more than one occasion...so much in fact that we took a trip to the ER just to hear the little guys heartbeat. I am about 22 weeks and he is a lazy little guy just floating around gaining weight in his juice sack!
Em and I just returned from an extended "vacation" to Utah for the second time this summer for my brother Jake's wedding. It was a LONG journey for us girls and really made me realize that I need to slow down and let my body rest during this pregnancy. I put over 1600 miles on my car and that was a lot of miles for a pregnant girl to travel. (for the 2nd time in a month!) The wedding was beautiful and Emmie (Emily, also called Emma) is going to fit right into this family. She and Jake make a perfect couple! I got to spend a lot of time with my other 2 sisters: Ashley Kay and Ashley THay and that was so fun to spend time with them and to stay at Ashley and Danny's cute little apartment.
We went to Lagoon as a family and that was a blast! My best friend and her 2 kids came along and we hadn't seen each other in 3 years and it was like no time had past!! Our little girls are pretty close in age and have no choice but to be best friends also! (They were so cute together!)
I then spent a few days in GJ on my way home with my parents where my mom and I canned peaches (thanks mom for doing more than your share!) and we went to the Doubletree everynight to take my dad and emma swimming. Not for long though because my parents are coming to visit this weekend to take our hot tub home with them. They will use it more than we do and they NEED it more than we do!
I came home to a very hungry husband who didn't cook a thing on the menu I left him, was out of cereal, bread and had eggs coming out of every corner of our fridge because the chickens are laying so much. Todd has also eaten every sweet thing in our house and had found all of the hidden stashes of things.
We spent 3 great days together with him off and went to the temple in ABQ and did a little shopping and then spent a day butchering turkeys and canning salsa, turkey broth and grinding meat to freeze.
So...that is my update...
Here are a few things that Emma is saying that cracks me up:
*Be Right back (she says as she runs down the hall)
*What happened? (she'll yell from another room if she hears me say ouch or there's a loud noise.
*What you wanna talk about? (usually when she's sitting on the toilet)
*I'm coming daddy. (at 5:30 in the morning when she's coming into our room.)
*Oh, I'm soooo tired.
*I'm very firsty. (thirsty)
*Mom, emma sad. (usually when she's trying to turn on the tears to get something.)

I'm sure there are more but these were all I could think of for now!
Pictures coming soon!!!

Congratulations! Boys are so fun! And boy stuff is a lot cuter than you might think! You sound like you're staying busy and having fun! I love hearing the cute things that kids say, you can totally see their little personalities just coming out! So fun!

Nothing like adding another double name into this crazy Van Wagoner family filled with unoriginality. Kids are so funny!

I love the name and HE is going to be TOTALLY original, besides what's in a name? Emma by any other name would be just as sweet...same goes for little Max-a-million!!! :) Love and miss you guys!!!!

By The way i thought you might like to know that my word verification to leave this comment is....PANTI!!!! HEHE (I'll let Todd finish that one with your second favorite word!!) :)

I'm tired of all this name duplicating and no one picking my name:) That's like Grandma Dora wanting one of us to name one of our girls Dorene.....as much as I loved her, I just couldn't bring myself to do it....so we don't have any Dorenes, Shirlines...but we do have plenty of other duplications...ashley...hannah.....david's...emmas....of course all the names except hannah and max are married into the family....and there IS a lot to a name.....anyway for me....i put a lot of thought and consideration in naming each of my children....anyway, I DO hope he's healthy and handsome just like his daddy!!!

We put a lot of thought and consideration into this name and it means something special to us. Besides...it won't be like Ashley Kay and Ashley Thay (who by the way are both original despite having the same names)who see each other on a regular basis and we still have to distinguish between them by their middle names...our Max will be original in his own way and just because someone else in our family has used the name doesn't make him not original or his name.

Wasn't it Jaxon last week? Obviously, I love the name Maxwell, or I wouldn't have chosen it myself. It's a darling name.

Jaxon was an idea we had played with for a while but we just feel like it's suppose to Maxwell.
