Almost a month...

I can't believe that tomorrow morning at 6am marks the one-month mark of me going to the hospital and getting ready to have this little man...who I thought was my little Gracie. I labored for almost 2 days before he decided to "grace" us with his presence...I have never been so shocked, confused, speechless, or dumbfounded in my entire life as I was the moment that the dr. told us that she was really a boy!!!

This was by far the most difficult labor and delivery that I have had. Despite the fact that I had 3 epiderals...I felt every last bit of the delivery and it was awful. I am not a pioneer woman...give me the drugs any day of the week! Next time I'm going straight for the c-section! I think part of what made this so difficult is that he never dropped so I pushed him from really high up all the way down and he started to come sideways hitting against my pelvic bone. The dr. repeatedly told me that I was just feeling pressure but I wasn't stupid...or medicated...it wasn't just pressure it was excruciating pain! But...it's over now and he's here and look what he's added to our family...
He's made my sweet Maxy a big brother and I can't wait to watch them grow up together and be best friends!
