We had so much fun last weekend as Ashley & Danny came and spent a few days with us. Next time we promise we'll fly them here as it took FAR too long for them to drive!
Emma couldn't remember their names at first and kept calling Danny ~Jake. Then she called them both Nana & Papa and finally at the end of their trip she got their names right and after they left she walked around for 2 days asking for "Nanny" and "Ashee". So cute!
So...Ash made this mighty fine loaf of bread and it tasted delish! We did lots of things while she was here, bread being one of them. We also made jewelry, added some great recipes to her collection, made the delicious Blackberry Peach jam pictured below, played the train game & Settlers, shopped at Target, made a mean guacomole dip, and Ash even whipped up some peanut butter cookies!
She is starting school tomorrow at Paul Mitchell Beauty School. I'm super excited for her...and not just because I will be reaping the benefits of her newfound education but because this is a chapter in her life that is finally getting started and she is so excited about it.
Emma loved having these 2 here and so did we. She loves it of course when anyone pays attention to her, but Danny has really big muscles and could lift her up and down and then do it again when she begged for more!
She loved to read with Danny on his pillow!

Classic pose of the boys playing a little x-box. Todd took off 3 days while the kids were here so we got to really all hang out and enjoy each others company! I was sure sad to see them leave but I'm excited to get to see them again soon! Love you both!

They'll always be kids to me...they are younger than me!
Tiff has always MOTHERED Danny so of course they would be KIDS to her. She wanted me to have twins when Danny was born...one for me and one for her. Later in life she would not claim Danny to be hers...she would say her's was the twin I didn't have!
Emma is so darn lucky to have so many people love her so much! What's not to love (except when she slaps me in the face...I have a remedy for that though.)
